AFROPUNK stands for... Safety for all

Rooted in punk DIY culture, since 2002 AFROPUNK has encouraged rebellious, freethinking risk-takers in music, art, film, comedy, fashion, and culture-atlarge. AFROPUNK seeks diverse perspectives and insights that sustain us and feed our energy. Without them we would not exist. And without a space for such ideas to interact and flourish, our audience wouldn't return year after year.

AFROPUNK stands for... No tolerance for prejudice, violence or abuse. AFROPUNK stands for ...dialogue concerning gender, race, ability, class, and sexual orientation differences, assessing privilege, mapping how we navigate through and view the world. AFROPUNK stands for... a space for self reflection and open minds, a space for respect and standing up for what we believe in.

THIS IS AFROPUNK AND WHAT WE STAND FOR.

And you? What do you stand for?
